Like so many boys in the 60's and 70's, I took wood shop in school. Working with the wood and creating items form just plain boards was just amazing to me. Then the call of college came and I began studying Electrical Engineering, however I ended up in the Telecommunications and IT field. Flash forward to 2009. Wood working came back into my life when a friend offered to teach me how to turn a pen on a lathe and I was immediately hooked. So here I am all these years later with a full size lathe, all the woodworking tools needed to do what I do and along with pens, I have moved into making Bowls, Boxes and Artistic pieces.

I live in Southeastern Michigan and am the President of the Detroit Area Woodturners and a member of the American Association of Wood Turners.
